Two Dreams of Silver Nitrate

filed under: Silver written by: Alfonso

It is strange that I see the dreams on the paper but I can’t remember them when I wake up. It might be the antiseptic qualities of coloidal silver that clean all away. But seeing those papers made me think about Talbots Salt Prints. It is said that he invented them around 1830’s but I guess the photo-sensibility of silver nitrate was known much before. Silver reacts very quick with salt and gets contaminated easily with other metals. Salt is the mestizo metal, climbing up the paper, mixed the salt of our urine, sweat or breath polluted by the metals contained in our body… Heavy metal dreams that I cannot remember.
